Want to sign up/know more

We need to keep tabs on the ratio of coaches to children so in the first instance please email the club secretary on fieldendflyers@gmail.com.

See also our website www.fieldendflyers.co.uk and Facebook page

What else can we tell you?

Bring

·       Cycle helmet and gloves (ideally full fingered)

·       The club has a small selection of balance bikes for use during the sessions.

Riders must bring their own bikes

·       Parents/carers must attend the club session with their children – to cheer them on and get some tips on how to support cycling practice outside of the club

·       Drinks and snacks to keep those cyclists fuelled

Is there parking ?

Parking is available on local roads outside the school

What about the weather ?

·       The club is outdoors so if we have to cancel a session due to bad weather a notification will be posted on the clubs Facebook page

·       However the sessions will go ahead if it’s just light rain or frosty because it’s an opportunity to safely learn how to cycle in those conditions

About the club

It’s a community cycle club run by volunteers for the benefit of the local community. The sessions are led by British Cycling qualified coaches and assisted by parent helpers

Where does the clubs money go ?

Session fees pay for the hire of the track, maintaining the qualifications of coaches (coaching, first aid and DBS checks), the up-keep of donated cycles and celebrations of the children’s success in improving their cycling skills
